Up And At Them!

Well it's election day, or as I like to say, the day Saratone started her blog. And what a way to start it, amidst flooding and all. So in record time, I took an old Atlanta Braves nylon jacket and turned it into some waterproof(?) bike booties.

Directions: Obtain nylon jacket from thrift store. Cut off sleeves at elbow. Sew the hand hole shut. Cut the arm seam about half way up. If you like it tidy, hem it on all sides. Sew on some velcro at the ankles. Spray with waterproofing, I used nikwax, et voila! The dorky biker rides again.
